The Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University invites applications for a full-time, visiting professor (rank to be determined) to be appointed for two years.Candidates for the Joan Konner Visiting Professor of Journalism should demonstrate an ability to teach in a changing media landscape, a familiarity with digital tools, an ease with reporting across socio-economic lines of difference and a sophisticated understanding of various platforms. Typical teaching assignments include a core Reporting or Writing course, followed by a spring seminar in the candidate's journalistic specialty, complimented by advising students on masters' projects and other work throughout the academic year.
