Main focus of the position is to create newspaper metadata. Prepare detailed information concerning microfilm quality and metadata for 3rd party company using microfilm. Complete bibliographic information needed for the Nebraska Digital Newspaper Project. Position will communicate extensively with the vendor and with the Library of Congress. Individuals will be required to adhere to the standards and technical specifications on the Library of Congress National Digital Newspaper Program website at http://www.loc.gov/ndnp.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, History, or Journalism plus two (2) years' relevant experience. Work history will demonstrate knowledge of personal computer applications; Excellent communication both written and oral; high attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have One (1) plus years of copy editing, copy cataloging or XML markup experience; Prior experience in image editing software
