Assistant Metro Editor
The Seattle Times, a family-owned news organization and one of the nation’s premier regional news sources, is seeking a savvy and well-rounded Assistant Metro Editor. This job focuses on editing breaking news and event-based coverage on nights and weekends. The editor also must help select, edit and publish wire stories and assist the copy desk with executing our print plan. Schedule: This editor will work 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Some weekend days may go longer. And this editor will work 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Wednesday. This is a hybrid position requiring about two days per week in the office.
